The end of an era - Sinclair sells out to Amstrad for £5m. Rumours are that the Speccy 128 will be repackaged with a built-in tape player, that the QL to be ditched and that future Sinclair badged products will be aimed at the entertainment sector.     Advertising Authority investigates Sinclair about the claim that the Speccy 128 is 100% compatible with all software.     Sinclair sells his hi-tech home in Chelsea for around £1m.     Lenslok and the Speccy 128 cause misery to thousands of gamers, Lenslok because Firebird sent the wrong Lenslok (a lens-like device used to try and help combat piracy) with the wrong game; and the Speccy 128 because it was incompatible with many games.     Level 9 adopts the Lenslok system though, but stresses "to avoid the mistake of one software house [tactfully not mentioning any names here] that sent out games with the wrong lenses, Level 9 has printed each lens with the name of its new game".     Hardware round-up : highlight being Romantic Robot's Multiface One.     Speccy 128 game round-up.     Time Travel cartoon strip concludes.
