YS reports that MGT has plans to release a "Spectrum-like megacomputer" in late 1988. Specs are listed as "colours for every pixel, 256k RAM, mouse, joystick and lightpen capability, built-in networking, multichannel sound and four operating modes, including a Spectrum mode which will allow you to use existing Speccy software!" The machine (as-yet unnamed) is working as a circuit and MGT are now looking for someone to write the ROM.     OutRun continues its runaway success, outselling Match Day II by over 2:1.     This issue is patrolled by the YS Joke Police.     The classic game Tetris is born.     YS Readers' Game of Year 1987 results returned: Head Over Heels (Ocean) came first by a mile, Renegade (Imagine) second and Driller (Incentive) third.     Mr Heli, Vigilante and Shinobi are all covered in Slots of Fun.     Advanced Lawnmower Simulator immediately given classic status.     With Christmas '87 just passed, Activision looks towards Christmas '88 and buys up the R-Type and Afterburner licences.
