October 1987 Issue 22

The cover game wars between magazines start - this issue has Elite's Batty on the tape. The game is loved by all.     Bad news on the Spectrum +3 front - due to changes that had to be made to the Spectrum so that it could handle the new disk hardware, the +3 is incompatible with most peripherals and some games. This bug, like the problems the Speccy 128 had, was never fixed by Amstrad.     Elite's Battleships gets reviewed at full price and given a Megagame rating. Elite doesn't release it though, but it eventually surfaces as a budget release.     Charts changed to cover full price games only due to the fact that it was being taken over by budget releases.     Re-releases now have their own section.     R-Type covered in Slots of Fun.     The first big Christmas coin-op conversion is announced: Super Hang On by Electric Dreams.
