WAR/Martech (YS14, 9)
WEC Le Mans/Ocean (YS39, 9)
WOW Games/War On Want (YS7, 9)
WWF Wrestlemania/Ocean (YS73, 91)
This is it, grapple fans! If you're a fan of wrestling (or fighting in general), you'll have a ball with WWF.
WWF Wrestlemania C (YS86, 60)
As part of the Super Fighter compilation.

As part of the The Dream Team compilation.
Wacky Darts C (YS73, 89)
As part of the Quattro Fantastic compilation.
Wanderer/Elite (YS41, 69)
Seemingly naff space trading game which really begins to glow when you turn on the 3D effect.
War In Middle Earth/Melbourne House (YS40, 8)
Fabby strategy game, based on a great story. Buy it.
War Machine/Players (YS84, 30)
Wars Of The Roses/CCS (YS72, 75)
It's history in the making - get it to exercise your brain not your trigger finger!
Waterworks (SAM)/FRED (YS88, 80)
I really enjoyed playing it, but I can see why people wouldn't like it. Non-puzzle fanatics should knock 25% off the score.
Way Of The Exploding Fist C (YS34, 7)
As part of the Karate Ace compilation.
Way Of The Tiger C (YS34, 9)
As part of the Karate Ace compilation.
Way Of The Tiger/Gremlin (YS6, 9)
Weaver Of Her Dreams, The/8th Day (YS42, 80)
Wellington At Waterloo/CCS (YS43, 80)
An excellent game, and one which should keep the wargames fans interested for some time. A bit difficult for the uninitiated to pick up - but well worth plugging away at.
Welltris/Infogrames (YS64, 79)
It's clever, logical and fast, but looks a bit naff. Still, if you like puzzle games, you'll go a bundle.
West Bank/Gremlin (YS3, 8)
Wheels Of Fire/Ocean (YS60, 86)
The biggest driving games yet (just about). A motley crew but much better than most compilations.
Where Time Stood Still/Ocean (YS32, 9)
A superb arcade adventure for 128k owners only. All the thrills of lost worlds and lands that time forgot in a true computer movie!
White Feather Cloak, The/Zenobi (YS81, 99)
Wild Bunch, The/Firebird (YS8, 7)
Wild West Seymour C (YS84, 56)
As part of the Superstar Seymour compilation.
Wile E Coyote/Hi-Tec (YS74, 68)
Samey and disappointing collect-'em-up with extremely obscure graphics.
Willow Pattern/Firebird (YS2, 4)
Winter Games/US Gold (YS12, 7)
Winter Games/US Gold (YS3, 8)
Winter Games C (YS35, UNR)
As part of the Gold Silver And Bronze compilation.
Winter Olympiad '88/Tynesoft (YS26, 6)
Do we really need another of these Winter Olympics games? If your answer's yes, this one's for you.
Winter Olympiad '88 C (YS38, UNR)
As part of the Game Set And Match II compilation.
Winter Sports/Electric Dreams (YS1, 7)
Winter Wonderland/Incentive (YS16, 7)
Witch Hunt/Jack Lockerby (YS22, UNR)
Witch Hunter, The/Pocket Money Software (YS12, 6)
Wiz/Melbourne House (YS20, 7)
More Gauntlet-like wizardry, but neither graphics or gameplay match the high standards of its rivals.
Wizard Warz/Go! (YS32, 3)
Glad to see Go! are maintaining their standards... Bad news, don't buy it.
Wizard Willy C (YS68, UNR)
As part of the Quattro Cartoon compilation.
Wizard's Warrior/Crusader Computing (YS27, 6)
Wizball/Ocean (YS23, 8)
A novel game with cheerful graphics and clever gameplay but hard to get into.
Wolfan/Bulldog (YS21, 8)
Entertaining and user-friendly Fairlight clone that should keep the wolf from Bulldog's door.
Wonder Boy/Activision (YS20, 7)
Loads of running and jumping, but it that enough? Nevertheless, a fairly faithful conversion of the Sega coin-op.
Wonder Boy C (YS48, 85)
As part of the The Story So Far Volume IV compilation.
Wonderboy arcade screenshots A
Wop Gamma (SAM)/Revelation (YS91, 88)
You could boycott it to show we want more than puzzle games, but it's just too good to miss. (Sorry.)
World Beaters Giants/US Gold (YS38, 7)
A collection of big name arcade conversions, nearly all of which are competent but disappointing.
World Championship Boxing Manager/Goliath (YS51, 91)
Despite appearances, a superb management game - versatile and very addictive.
World Championship Soccer/Elite (YS63, 80)
Communal gameplaying (almost) at its best. Just the thing to challenge your Uncle Frank to!
World Class Leaderboard/US Gold (YS25, 9)
Excellent follow-up to the original Leaderboard. The inclusion of longer fairways and trees gives it a truly authentic feel.
World Class Rugby/Audiogenic (YS71, 92)
Thoroughly groovy rough and tumble game which doesn't give you scabs on your knees.
World Cup/D&H (YS76, 31)
An absolutely dire football management game that is only fractionally better than the original Football Manager.
World Cup Carnival/US Gold (YS8, 3)
World Cup Soccer/Macmillan (YS3, 8)
World Cup Soccer Italia '90/Virgin (YS55, 79)
Above-par footie arcade action. Not that bona fide a World Cup game, but addictive fun nevertheless.
World Cup Year '90 Compilation/Empire (YS55, 79)
No great shakes graphically but a strong compilation nevertheless, with three top league games.
World Games/US Gold (YS17, 9)
World Games C (YS38, UNR)
As part of the History In The Making compilation.
World Rugby/Zeppelin (YS86, 72)
Easily accessible manager that's disappointing where it should be exciting.
Worm In Paradise, The C (YS15, UNR)
As part of the Silicon Dreams compilation.
Wrestling Superstars/Codemasters (YS86, 60)
   'S all right, innit?
Wrestling Superstars C (YS88, 60)
As part of the Supersports Challenge compilation.
