R-Type/Activision (YS37, 9)    An unmissable shoot 'em up. As addictive as Angel Delight and twice as butterscotchy. As faithful a conversion as one could hope for. It's a corker. Rebel Planet/US Gold (YS9, 7) Rebel Star/Firebird (YS9, 7) Reckless Rufus/Alternative (YS82, 90)    Tip-top puzzle game with splendid graphics. Dead simple and packed with playability. Hurrah! Red Heat/Ocean (YS43, 85)    Jaw-socking stuff.Quirky and clear with a lot of variety but only a half-sized 'envelope' screen. Red LED/Starlight (YS24, 8)    Cracking Spindizzy/Gyroscope type arcade puzzler. Very addictive and easy to play, but beware, it's no push-over to complete. Red Scorpion/Quicksilva (YS19, 7) Renegade/Imagine (YS22, 9) Renegade III/Imagine (YS41, 79)    The standard beat 'em up formula gets a bizarre fantasy twist - and it works! Renegade arcade screenshots Rentakill Rita/Mastertronic (YS26, 8)    Chronically derivative but highly enjoyable Head Over Heels clone that'll keep addicts happy for many a long night. Repton Mania/Superior (YS42, 88)    Two games in one: one a serviceable Boulderdash clone (with giant sprites), the other a quantum leap ahead, the best multi-screen arcade adventure we've seen for ages.Triffo. Rescue On Fractalus/Activision (YS10, 7) Retarded Creatures And Caverns/Zenobi (YS45, 90) Return Of The Jedi/Domark (YS37, 7)    Third of the Star Wars games, and a total style departure from the previous two. Not a bad little diagonally scrolling avoid 'em up, but then not a particularly brilliant one. Return Of The Jedi (YS46, 74)    As part of the Star Wars Trilogy compilation. Revolution/Vortex (YS11, 9) Rex/Martech (YS36, 9)    This has to be the best shoot'em up since Cybernoid. I love it to death. Rick Dangerous/Firebird (YS43, 78)    A trekkin' good arcade adventure. Riding The Rapids/Players (YS26, 5)    Insipid canoe slalom simulator. Extremely damp gameplay, only saved by the addition of an easy-to-use course editor package. Rigel's Revenge/Mastertronic (YS25, 8) Ring Wars/Cascade (YS38, 8)    Unoriginal plot, but technically superb wired frame graphics with action, lasers and planets to land on. River Raid/Firebird (YS22, 4) Road Blasters/US Gold (YS34, 8)    A verdcant road racing game. Road Runner/US Gold (YS22, 7)    A true enough conversion of the popular arcade game, with lots to recommend. Good clean cartoon fun. Robin Hood: Legend Quest/Codemasters (YS86, 90)    Super! Pick up a copy and become a Merry Person riding through the glen. Robin O' The Wood/Odin (YS2, 9) Robin Of Sherlock/Silversoft (YS2, 7) Robocop/Ocean (YS36, PRE) Robocop/Ocean (YS39, 8)    Playable, efficient but uninspired shooty thing based on everyone's favourite gorefeast. Not really up to the standards of Batman II or Oppy Wolf. Robocop (YS60, 85)    As part of the Hollywood Collection compilation. Robocop II/Ocean (YS60, 93)    Well programmed and well thought-out, great-looking and infinitely playable. Absolutely brill. Go buy! Robocop III/Ocean (YS76, 86)    Monochrome, jump-about-a-lot and kill people thang that's plenty of fun. Rock 'n' Roll/Rainbow Arts (YS50, 74)    Persevere with the unglossy look and there's lots here to do and see, even though it is in yellow. Rock Star Ate My Hamster/Codemasters (YS42, 35)    Hilariously funny? Well perhaps, but not quite in the way they intended. Please don't make me load it again! Well, I've never seen them and I'm the reviewer. So there. Roy Of The Rovers/Gremlin (YS37, 7)    Neat variation on the football game which really captures the atmosphere of the comic strip. Only the actual football bit lets it down! Rubicon/BugByte (YS21, 5)    Dullish platform variant that's rather like Dan Dare without the Dare. Instructions useful only to clairvoyants. Ruff And Ready (YS74, 40)    As part of the The Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Character Collection compilation. Rugby Boss (YS75, 70)    As part of the 4-Most Balls, Boots And Brains compilation. Run For Gold (YS63, UNR)    As part of the 4-Most Sports compilation. Run The Gauntlet/Imagine (YS40, 7)    Multi-event racing, boat driving and assault-course game from the TV show of the same name. Not particularly well implemented, but quite good fun despite it. Slap on the wrist for Imagine - it could have been a lot better. Runestone/Firebird (YS1, UNR) Running Man, The/Grandslam (YS42, 90)    Movie licence that makes a perfect computer game. Frenetic and visually great kick and shoot 'em up with the occasional need for quick logic under pressure. Sterling stuff! Running Man, The (YS57, 79)    As part of the Heroes compilation.
