Andy Capp/Mirrorsoft (YS27, 8)Clever and original arcade adventure that accurately simulates the breathless non-stop action of Andy's life. Champion! Battlefield Germany/PSS (YS18, 9) Classic Games 4/CP Software (YS39, 4) A package of games, one good, the rest poor and most let down badly by very bad graphics. Oh dear. Clock Chess/CP Software (YS39, 7) Fabby Chess program for the Speccy, let down by poor graphics. Dr Destructo/Bulldog (YS22, 5) Cheap but less than cheerful aerial shoot 'em up with little variety or originality. Erik: The Phantom Of The Opera/Crysys (YS26, 6) Average plattie that has bog all to do with A. Lloyd Webber's moneyspinner - and it's all the better for it! Final Matrix, The/Gremlin (YS20, 9) An excellent arcade adventure in the Ultimate mould - witty, tough and fun to play. Krypton Factor/TV Games (YS29, 6) Not an obvious computer tie-in, and in the end a none too successful one, either. Legions Of Death/Lothlorien (YS18, 8) MASK/Gremlin (YS24, 6) Disappointing cartoon tie-in that’s too slow to provide long term zapping. Wait for MASK 2! Masters Of The Universe/Gremlin (YS27, 6) Disappointing tie-in, presumably aimed at a younger audience. There's less here than meets the eye. Mega Apocalypse/Martech (YS30, 7) Fair if tricky conversion of the excellent Commodore shoot 'em up. Probably more fun than it first appears. Overlord/CCS (YS33, 8) Super G-Man/Codemasters (YS21, 5) Cheap and cheerful Jet Pac style game. Nothing new here, but worth the pennies - just. Through The Trap Door/Piranha (YS25, 8) Well hard arcade adventure with the Don Priestly signature all over it. Fans will lap it up. Tobruk/PSS (YS18, 8) Wellington At Waterloo/CCS (YS43, 80) An excellent game, and one which should keep the wargames fans interested for some time. A bit difficult for the uninitiated to pick up - but well worth plugging away at. Wonder Boy/Activision (YS20, 7) Loads of running and jumping, but it that enough? Nevertheless, a fairly faithful conversion of the Sega coin-op. Zulu War/CCS (YS18, 7) |
