2 Hot 2 Handle/Ocean (YS77, 90)
Australian Rules Football/Again Again (YS49, 69)
Quite a goodie if you're into this sort of thing, but the lack of a two player option does let it down.
Back To The Future Part II/ImageWorks (YS56, 79)
Massive multiload film conversion, very faithful to the complicated film, and full of variety. We like it.
Battle Of The Bulge/CCS (YS57, 75)
Yep, folks, it's another strategy thingie, but fortunately it's quite a good on. (Well, sort of, anyway.) Hurrah!
Beverly Hills Cop/Tynesoft (YS52, 62)
A fairly naff film conversion - none of the sub-games are any good, and there's not a trace of humour to be seen.
CJ's Elephant Antics/Codemasters (YS66, 85)
Cartoon Collection/Codemasters (YS74, 91)
Chart Attack/Gremlin (YS73, 90)
Defenders Of The Earth/Hi-Tec r (YS65, 64)
Dragon Breed/Activision (YS61, 82)
A pretty decent and original blast-'em-up - though St Dragon got there first (just about).
Dragon Spirit/Hit Squad r (YS73, 67)
Edition 1/Virgin (YS59, 88)
Two utterly good games, and two not quite so good (but not that bad either). Quite a good compy then.
Fighter Bomber/Activision (YS52, 92)
A real corker! One of the best flight sims around, incredibly pretty, full of things to do - the lack of dogfighting doesn't hamper things a bit.
Forgotten Worlds/Kixx r (YS68, 83)
Helter Skelter/Audiogenic (YS92, 79)
If I had to choose between this and a stoat in the ear, I'd plump for Helter Skelter.
Hostages/Infogrames (YS58, 73)
Nicely presented arcade strategy game, well put together, but just not quite 'it'.
Italy 1990/US Gold (YS56, 81)
Above average footie game with a strong World Cup flavour. Probably the best of the current crop.
Kwik Snax/Codemasters (YS62, 92)
Magicland Dizzy/Codemasters (YS63, 90)
NARC/Hit Squad (YS82, 31)
Quattro Adventure/Codemasters (YS58, 95)
Quattro Fantastic/Codemasters (YS73, 90)
Quattro Sports/Codemasters (YS58, 88)
Rana Rama/Players r (YS63, 78)
Scooby Doo And Scrappy Doo/Hi-Tec (YS68, 74)
Nothing new or outstanding, but certainly an improvement on the usual Hi-Tec fare.
Shadow Warriors/Ocean (YS57, 90)
Technically astounding beat-'em-up, full of colour and action (but doesn't need too much skill).
Slightly Magic/Codemasters (YS66, 94)
Soccer Stars/Empire (YS75, 82)
Story So Far Volume IV, The/Elite (YS48, 57)
Six old and worn games bundled together in one pack. The only redeeming games are Wonderboy and Ghostbusters.
Superleague Soccer/Impressions (YS57, 52)
A different type of footie game, but unfortunately it's crap.
Tilt/Codemasters (YS62, 88)
Time Machine, The/Vivid Image (YS58, 91)
A completely different yet completely brilliant number. Hurrah!
Total Recall/Hit Squad r (YS82, 76)
Trivia/Grandslam (YS49, 62)
Yep - it's a trivia game, nothing bad, nothing special. Really for the more brainy and mature among us. (Like me!)
UN Squadron/US Gold (YS60, 77)
Nice graphics, and a good blast - but a bit too samey really.
Ultimate Collection, The/Ubisoft (YS72, 83)
Vendetta/System 3 (YS55, 76)
It's a beat-'em-up, a driving game, and an arcade adventure! And it's quite good too.
Vigilante/Kixx r (YS64, 45)
World Cup/D&H (YS76, 31)
An absolutely dire football management game that is only fractionally better than the original Football Manager.

The YS Guide To 'YS-Speak' (YS93)
Good evening. If you'd care to take your seats, Professor of Linguistics Rich Pelley will begin his lecture on the peculiar subset of English known as 'YS-speak'. Or something.
