APB - All Points Bulletin/Domark (YS46, 75)Okay, so it's a bit limited graphically, but so what when it's dead playable and good for a laugh? After The War/Dinamic (YS48, 71) Dodgy (and ludicrously difficult) first level hides a rather snazzy, all action shoot-'em-up. Would've been marked higher if it wasn't so hard. Badlands/Domark (YS60, 68) Rather ordinary Super Sprint lookalike with knobs on. Pales massively next to Ironman. Crackdown/US Gold (YS53, 76) A natty conversion of a coin-op which was good, but not that good. Suck it and see. E-Motion/US Gold (YS53, 80) A triffic load of balls which tests your mental and your manual skills. A real love it or hate it game. Emlyn Hughes Arcade Quiz/Audiogenic (YS59, 32) A fairly neatly-designed arcade quiz marred by crap questions. (Avoid it.) International 3D Tennis/Palace (YS56, 75) Nice 3D gameplay, shame about the sluggish speed. Well worth trying if Dan Maskell's your cuppa tea. Kenny Dalglish Soccer Match/Impressions (YS55, 46) A turkey which just about scrapes into the GM Vauxhall Conference. Top of the league stuff it ain't. Night Hunter/Ubisoft (YS57, 74) A not-all-that-original arcade game given a new(ish) lease of life by a pointy pair of false teeth. Pro Tennis Tour/Ubisoft (YS50, 85) The best tennis sim on the Speccy so far. The dead accurate (if a tad hard) gameplay makes for some eyebrow-singeing matches. Puffy's Saga/Ubisoft (YS48, 78) A cute and cuddly Gauntlet-style thingy with lots of twee features to please Pacman fans. And it's not a bad little maze game either. St Dragon/Storm (YS60, 80) Snazzy shoot-'em-up with some very hard bits and some fairly ordinary ones - but not much in-between. Star Wars Trilogy/Domark (YS46, 84) Not bad at all even if it does cost more than you usually have to pay for a compilation. A must if you haven't already got the games. |
