4x4 Off Road Racing/Epyx (YS40, 7)
Not a pure racing game, but a good off road racing sim, which has a lot more going for it than Mark Thatcher did in the Sahara desert.
Aaargh!/Virgin (YS44, 48)
A very primitive multi-level, multi-load, beat 'em, blowtorch 'em up which'll have you screaming its title each time you die and have to reload!
Cycles, The/Accolade (YS56, 53)
A motorbike sim with such a wobbly steering system you'll probably feel sick after playing it!
Garfield: A Winter's Tail/The Edge (YS51, 50)
A rather crap follow-up to the first Garfield. Nice graphics, shame about the gameplay.
Grand Prix Master/Dinamic (YS48, 43)
An impossibly difficult viewed-from-above racing game. Only for die-hard addicts.
High Steel/Screen 7 (YS45, 56)
An appealing idea that just doesn't work in practice. Dull and frustrating.
Jaws/Screen 7 (YS44, 88)
A tasty, mazey shoot 'em up game with lots of other elements besides. A biting good game. Buy it!
Operation Thunderbolt/Ocean (YS48, 93)
A brilliant shoot-'em-up with enough variation from the original to stand as a separate megablast all in its own right.
Rick Dangerous/Firebird (YS43, 78)
A trekkin' good arcade adventure. Simple but tricky, with that vital just-one-more-go element.
Skateball/Ubisoft (YS38, 8)
Balls of fun for everyone! A good addictive mixture of skill, skating and bash 'em about.
Thunderbirds/Grandslam (YS43, 85)
One of the best arcade adventures for a long time. Great graphics, tricky puzzles, and all your fave Thunderbirds characters too.
Toobin'/Domark (YS49, 60)
Strangely unenjoyable and suspiciously budgety looking arcade conversion. We usually like simple games, but we didn't go much for this one.
Untouchables, The/Ocean (YS47, 94)
A brilliant multiload film conversion, as good as anything released this year.
